Comparing different data sources: How did alcohol use change in Finland and Norway during the COVID-19 pandemic?

In their new publication, Mäkelä and colleagues studied changes in alcohol use in the course of the pandemic by comparing different data sources, i.e., sales statistics and survey data. While there is evidence of self-selection bias in the convenience sample, there is only limited variation in the key findings regarding changes in alcohol use between the different data sources.
